DAILY MASS MOVING TO ST. MARY'S, CRESCENT & OTHER

IMPORTANT PARISH UPDATES

The week of August 3, we will be adding some much needed upgrades to our door access system and security cameras to improve both operations and security throughout the building.


Starting August 10 through approximately September 4, our parish building will undergo asbestos abatement performed by licensed professionals with independent oversight throughout the project. During this time, all daily Mass, the Tuesday Miraculous Medal Novena, and the Wednesday Holy Hour will move to St. Mary's, Crescent.


Friday morning Mass and the Knights breakfast will remain at St. Mary's a bit longer, through the completion of our kitchen renovation in early January.

Knights Of Columbus Car Wash

Now through October 31st

The K of C are partnering with Hoffman Car Wash to raise funds assist the various programs and charities supported by St. Edward’s Knights of Columbus Council 11064 including but not limited to Faith Formation, church ministries, Scouting, Ronald McDonald House, CAPTAIN, candidates for the Priesthood, Regional Food Bank, Our House, YMCA, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Provide, Shen Dollars for Scholars, Auriesville Shrine, Sisters of St. Joseph, etc.

To purchase tickets, please visit www.hoffmancarwash.com, on the top right, click Fundraisers, then search for Knights of Columbus, and the St. Ed’s event will appear. The fundraiser is ongoing through October 31st. 50% of every dollar will come back to the council for their charitable work. We greatly appreciate your support!

Mental Health Support Group

Meeting Dates Listed Below

St. Ed's Behavioral Mental Health Ministry is sponsoring a monthly support group for family and friends who are helping loved ones navigate through mental health challenges. The support group facilitator is Kevin Moran, a psychiatric social worker with over 25 years of experience in mental health care. The support group will be held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm in the social hall. Please mark your calendars for the following 2026 dates: 9/10, 10/8, 11/12 & 12/10. All information shared by participants at the support group is confidential.

Altar Server Training will be held in the church on Saturday, July 25th after the 4 PM Mass. This training is open to children who have received their First Communion and older. We welcome both new altar servers and current servers who would like a refresher. Please join us as we learn more about serving at Mass and assisting our parish community. You can reach out to Fr. The massive 9-by-9-meter mural of the face of Jesus Christ made from recycled colored plastic bottle caps was created in Malvinas Argentinas, a city in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina. The large-scale artwork was built by students, teachers, school staff, and local families who spent several weeks collecting and sorting the caps by color.

Every year we collect new school supplies and backpacks for the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center for distribution to students in the Mechanicville, Stillwater, Hoosic Valley, and Waterford school districts. Keep an eye out for sales at local stores so your purchases can help children get the necessary items to succeed throughout the school year. Donations may be left in the Atrium or between the Faith Formation doors with the food drop-off. Last year, due to your generosity, 200 backpacks filled with supplies were given to children in need! Thank you for being so willing to help others!
