At this very moment, millions of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers are experiencing life-threatening levels of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition. While there is no one solution to breaking the cycle of hunger, we can make a difference by answering Jesus’ invitation to us to share Bread for Life with our global family, so all may live with dignity.
By donating to CRS Rice Bowl, you help provide lifesaving support to people around the world. But did you know your generosity also helps your local diocese? Twenty-five percent of every donation stays in your community to fight hunger and poverty, while 75% supports vital Catholic Relief Services programs around the world. Thank you for your compassion and for making a profound difference globally and locally.
Rice bowls are available in the atrium. Pick one up today!
Happy Valentine's Day!
St. Valentine reminds us that love is more than a feeling...it’s a choice we make every day. A choice to be patient, to forgive, to show kindness when it’s not easy, and to put others before ourselves. His witness points us to the kind of love Christ showed us: faithful, self-giving, and enduring.
Today, may we thank God for the people who help us grow in love, in our marriages, families, friendships, and parish community, and ask St. Valentine to help our hearts love a little more like Jesus. ❤️
Our parish magazine is a lot like a garden; it only grows when we plant something. 🌱 Right now, we could use a few more seeds! Pet photos, ministry updates, faith moments, questions for Father Dan, or being a parishioner feature all help keep our pages full and meaningful with parish-specific content.
You don’t need to be a writer, you just need to be willing to share. This helps us keep the magazine lively, representative, and truly ours. Send in your contributions and let’s keep this good thing growing!
Email your submissions to kim.parker@stedwardsny.org and your submission could be featured!
