Celebrate this Lenten Season with us and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter.

Evening Prayer

Evening Prayer provides us time to contemplate, in prayer and song, the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us. Please join us on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm throughout Lent.

Soups & Stations

This Lenten Season, our St. Edward's community will be gathering for the Stations of the Cross. On Friday afternoons, Stations start at 12:00pm with soup immediately to follow.

We will also have Stations every Monday at 7:00pm throughout Lent.

Penance Services

St. Edward's will have a Penance Service with individual Reconciliation on Wednesday, March 4th at 6:30pm.

Corpus Christi Church will have a Penance Service on Wednesday, March 25th at 1:00pm.

Veteran's Clothing Collection

March 7/8, 14/15 & 21/22

We will be collecting clothing for the veterans of through the Albany VA. A list of items needed and clothing drop off can be found in the atrium. All items are request to be new with tags or in original packaging.

Pockets of Love

2:00 - 4:00 pm, Thursday, March 12th

Please join us for fellowship, and to assist women in shelters. We will be filling gently used pocketbooks with essential items and treats for abused & homeless women. Bring a gently used pocketbook, a piece of gently used costume jewelry, and 25 of the same item to fill the pocketbooks. Suggested items include: travel-size toiletries and dental hygiene items, hand warmers, baby wipes, female hygiene items, tissues, hand sanitizer, chapstick, gloves, mini first-aid kit, granola bars - be creative!

How To Support People Living With Mental Health Challenges

6:30pm • Thursday, March 12th

The newly formed St. Ed’s Behavioral Health Ministry is offering an education and support program for parents and relatives who have a family member with mental health challenges. The program will explore what one faces when living with a mental health illness and how you can find support and resources in the community for you and your loved one.

The program will be facilitated by Kevin Moran,

a psychiatric social worker with more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field, who leads a weekly support group at Ellis Medicine.

Spring Fling Family Fun Day

All are welcome to join a Leneten experience to venerate the Holy Face Relic at St Mary's Ballston Spa on weekend March 7-8 and weekend of March 14-15 at St Madeleine Sophie parish.

Shenendehowa Dollars for Scholars, a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success, is accepting applications for 2025 from high school seniors who reside in the Shen School District. To be eligible to apply for the scholarships, one must be a graduating high school student, a permanent resident of the Shen Central School District, and be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution for one, two, or four years of study. Students attending any high school; public, private, or home-schooled students are eligible for scholarships and encouraged to apply. The amounts of the scholarships vary from $500 to $1,500. Scholarships include two scholarships donated by the Knights of Columbus for the Roland Felano Memorial Scholarships-Fr. Robert C. Scott Council 11064. The deadline for applications is March 15th. Adoro Te is a Diocese of Albany-based lay young adult missionary group focused on fostering devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist. Their mission is to “live in Eucharistic Love and draw others to do the same,” through free events on Eucharistic doctrine, devotion, and the Saints. Adoro Te is the name derived from the 13th-century hymn “Adoro Te Devote,” (I Devoutly Adore You,” attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas. Tuesday, February 10th at 6:30 pm, St. Edward’s Social Hall. All are welcome, and youth grades 9 and up are encouraged to attend.

Due to the current storm, St. Edward's will be CLOSED on Monday, January 26th. Please stay safe!

Lector and Eucharistic Minister training will be held on Sunday, 2/15 & 2/22 at 12:15 pm in the church. This training is for ministers who missed the November trainings and for anyone who may be interested in joining these ministries. This training will cover both ministries.
