“On your part, you must make it your constant care to bring them up in the practice of your faith.” (Rite of Baptism for Children)

Parents are the primary teachers of our faith.  We ask that you share your faith with your children, sharing both your spiritual and prayer lives with them.  Families are encouraged to attend Mass weekly. Please pray with your children.  When they enter Pre-K/Kindergarten children should be familiar with the Sign of the Cross and should be working on the Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Glory Be.  All grade levels will practice these prayers during class.

Interested in Becoming a Catechist?

Catechists are very special volunteers who meet with our children to share their faith. If you are interested in becoming a catechist please contact our Faith Formation staff. Outlines and materials are provided for each session.

Monthly Family Gatherings:

Expanding on our highly successful family program, classes will meet once a month in the form of monthly family gatherings. Family members will attend these gatherings together and they will be designed for all ages (Pre-K - Adult). Each session will be presented in an upbeat, engaging manner. Sessions will include music, lessons, and activities on an age-appropriate level. While we prefer a parent attend, we understand conflicts arise and children may be accompanied by one designated adult. i.e., a godparent, grandparent, or neighbor whose child is also enrolled. Families will also be encouraged to attend Opening Mass (September 15), an Advent Service (December 2, 6:30 PM), Ash Wednesday (February 17, 4:15 PM), and a Youth-led Stations of the Cross (Date to be Determined) Our monthly family gatherings will be offered on the following days and times: Sunday, families will attend 9:00 AM Mass followed by class from 10:00 -11:00 AM Sunday, families will attend 11:00 AM Mass followed by class from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:30 PM Friday, 6:00 - 7:30 PM Attendance is required at one of the four sessions per month. If your family cannot attend your particular session you have the ability to join one of the other three sessions that week. For parents with children younger than three, children will be able to remain with their parents. The availability of a babysitting program during this time is being explored. Session Dates: Tuesday Sessions, 6:00-7:30 PM: October 13, November 10, January 19, February 23, March 23 Fridays Sessions, 6:00-7:30 PM: October 23, November 13, January 8, February 26, March 12 Sunday Sessions, 9:00 - 11:00 AM or 11:00 - 1:00 PM: October 4, November 1, January 3, February 7, and March 7 Why a Friday option?
Homework - children, and youth these days have massive amounts of homework compared to previous generations. We want your children to do well in school, and we want you to avoid having to choose which children attend faith formation. Plus, we are going to offer an hour (or more) of social activities after faith formation on Fridays that will include games for young people and a bonfire for all to enjoy. Many middle school youths have been attending T.G.I.F this past year, so the Friday option will serve as that fun social component, but for people of all ages. We have a new youth room with a 4K television and a Nintendo Switch, a big screen in the social hall, and a big screen in the atrium at our disposal. Youth have played laser tag, mega Jenga, and many other fun games during T.G.I.F. We will continue this after our Friday evening faith formation gatherings. Fees: One Student: $90 Two Students: $135 Three Students: $160 Four Students and Up: $ 175 If your family is suffering from financial hardship please reach out to a member of the Faith Formation Staff.
