Let Your Light Shine Drop-In Program

St. Edwards is introducing our new SHINE YOUR LIGHT drop-in program (parents will stay with their children) this summer. The program will be geared toward children ages 3 – 10, but siblings are welcome to join us. There will be stories, music, activities, and maybe some surprises along the way.

We invite children from grades 1 through 8 who love to sing to join us for Choristers Day! We'll spend some time rehearsing, have some lunch, rehearse some more, then lead music at the 4 PM Mass. Bring a friend and spend the day making beautiful music!

If you've been at St. Ed's the past couple of weeks, you've seen & heard the Not So Common Kids Summer Camp! Students participate as actors in THE WIZARD OF OZ JR., and present their finished product in a live outdoor performance on the Clifton Common stage on the evening of July 18th and July 19th at 5:00 p.m. – weather permitting.
We hope you can come out and support these young student/actors!
Starting this Friday, 7/18, we offer Friday morning High School Hangout at St. Ed's. Friday morning starts at 9:00 AM, followed by breakfast in the Social Hall for only $3.00!
The High School Youth Room will be open during this time for teens to enjoy a High School Hangout. Although Mass and breakfast are optional, it is highly encouraged. The teens can watch a movie, play pool, card games, board games, or simply enjoy each other's company.
Friday Morning High School Hangout will begin after morning Mass (around 9:30 AM) and go until Noon. No lessons, no programmed activities, just a time for the teens of the parish to relax. There will always be an adult present to supervise—no RSVP needed.

St. Edward’s welcomes Fr. Jim O’Rourke as Parochial Vicar (Assistant Pastor) of St. Edward’s and St. Mary’s Church, Crescent. Fr. Jim was ordained in 2022 and previously served as Chaplain at St. Peter’s Hospital.

The St. Edward’s Youth Ministry will be selling Smith’s Smokeshack & Kitchen’s “Soul Sauce #1” to help raise funds for their trip to NCYC in November.
NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference) is a powerfully unique three-day experience of prayer, community, evangelization, catechesis, service, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperones. NCYC is the premier Catholic youth event on a national scale that gathers people from all across America for a life-changing encounter with Christ.
Teens will have a table in the atrium after all weekend Masses on July 12-13, offering samples for tasting and an order sheet for those who prefer not to order online. If you wish to order online, please scan the QR code.

K of C Craft Fair 2025. The Knights of Columbus Council #11064 is showcasing crafters/artisans for our indoor Holiday Craft Fair fundraiser on 11/22/25 from 10 AM - 4 PM at St. Edward the Confessor Parish. The event includes raffle baskets, a light food concession, and free admission and parking.

The annual St Edward’s Red Cross Blood Drive was a great success on Tuesday, 6/10/25. We ended up with a total of 66 successful donations! Kudos to everyone who made this drive a success: The dedicated Donors who took the time to donate, the skilled & cheerful American Red Cross Staff who kept the day moving smoothly, the St Edward's staff and Clifton Park Town Hall for Advertisement, the St Edward's Custodian Staff for Set-up and the Volunteer-Support Ladies for your cheerful donor check-in and for keeping the snacks flowing for our brave donors -- THANK YOU! We really pulled together, and these 66 donations will help communities far and wide. Praise God! See you all next year!

CAPTAIN Community Human Services is currently looking for compassionate and reliable volunteers to support their Street Outreach Program during their weekly Youth Drop-In at the Saratoga Springs Office located at:
1 Freeman Lane, Saratoga
Thursdays from 3 - 4:30 PM.
CAPTAIN's Street Outreach Program serves youth ages 13-21 in Saratoga County and ages 12-24 in Fulton and Montgomery Counties who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. They provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where youth can access food, clothing, emergency shelter, case management, and other vital resources.
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping create a space where these young people feel safe, respected, and supported. CAPTAIN invites volunteers to consider helping once a month to support this important program and be a part of a life-changing initiative!

Have you always wanted to visit Greece and the Greek Isles? Fr. Pat has led multiple trips over the past several years, and many people have asked about a possible voyage to Greece. You asked, he listened!
On Sunday, June 1st, after the 11 AM Mass, we invite you to gather in the Church to hear about an 11-day tour of Greece, which includes a 3-day Aegean Sea Cruise in the fall of 2026.

Our second annual Spring Fling was a huge hit!! Whether you came for the food, ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, bounce house, Mr. Twisty, face painting, to dance or to shop for mom in the complimentary jewelry shop, there was something for everyone!!
We would like to thank everyone who helped made this event a success! Especially the many volunteers who helped with setup/takedown, cooking and serving and organizing this fun event! We appreciate all you do to help bring our church community together in a fun way!
