Miscarriage is a sensitive subject for women and their families. Studies show up to 4 in 10 women have experienced the death of a pre-born child. However, due to cultural and social factors, many mothers have suffered in silence with the loss of their babies, in some cases for years or decades.
On Sunday, October 20 at 2 PM in the main church, we will be holding a Mass for Hope and Healing for those who have endured a miscarriage or stillbirth. During this Mass, there will be special prayers for the unborn babies who never had the chance to be born, but are mourned by their families. This Mass is open to all, and fulfills the Sunday obligation.
