Join us for the Spiritual Nourishment of Soup and Stations at Noon and 6:00 PM on Fridays

As we welcome the season of Lent, a period of reflection, penance, and unity, the invitation to gather for Soup and Stations is particularly meaningful. Every Friday, at noon and again at 6:00 PM, everyone is invited to enjoy a nourishing experience that feeds both body and soul.

This event is more than a meal; it builds a sense of togetherness and provides a moment to pause and reflect amidst our hectic lives. Each week, church volunteers put a lot of heart into preparing homemade soups, which not only warm our bodies but also our spirits. St. Edward's Church adds a variety of selections, ensuring everyone finds something delicious that they love.

From now until April 11th, the Stations of the Cross will be recited weekly. This tradition invites participants to meditate on the struggles faced by Christ, enhancing our Lenten journey. Research shows that shared spiritual experiences can strengthen community ties. In fact, a recent survey indicated that 76% of participants feel a greater sense of belonging when they engage in group spiritual activities.

Lent encourages us to consider giving back—not only through time and resources but also through the connections we make with those around us. Sharing a meal, whether it's a steaming bowl of homemade soup or engaging in communal prayers, fosters a nurturing environment for both body and spirit.

By joining Soup and Stations, participants take part in a ritual that goes beyond eating together. It’s a chance to engage in conversation, share personal stories, and build meaningful relationships with fellow parishioners. The warmth of the soup mirrors the warmth of fellowship, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.

As we continue our Lenten journey, let’s embrace the chance to gather, reflect, and give of ourselves in love and community. Everyone is welcome to join us—whether you want to participate, volunteer, or simply share a meal and prayer.

Remember, your presence is important. Every bowl shared contributes to moments of understanding and growth within our community.
