The 48th Annual Diocesan Marriage Jubilee (Updated 10/2)

The Diocese will continue the tradition of honoring milestone wedding anniversaries as they have for 48 years. Unfortunately, we cannot gather in person for Mass this year due to the pandemic. Couples are invited to submit their anniversary and contact information through their parish or at by October 23. Couples will receive a certificate and blessing from Bishop Scharffenberger by postal mail. Congratulations to Paul LeBlanc! (Updated 9/6)

Congratulations to Paul LeBlanc, a longtime parishioner of St. Edward's, who will be ordained a permanent Deacon Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Please join us in congratulating Paul and praying for him on this next step of his faith journey. If you would like to watch a live stream of the ordination you can find it here. You can also celebrate with Paul at the 11:00 AM Mass this Sunday in person or through our live stream.

Please Continue Your Generous Food Pantry Donations!! **We can only accept food at this time** (Updated 9/3)

We want to thank everyone who has been generously filling the boxes located in the Faith Formation vestibule, by the old circle, with donations for the food pantries.  Please keep these donations coming. That one extra item you purchase at the grocery store may be what keeps someone from going to bed tonight hungry. Often the items most needed are those that are on sale or BOGO. Consider getting one for you and one for the food pantry. Thank you so much for your support.


The food pantries are currently in need of the following items (most needed items in bold):

  • Shampoo

  • Deodorant

  • Canned Fruit

  • Salad Dressing

  • Tuna Fish

  • Jello/Pudding

  • Boxed Rice
  • Boxed Potatoes

  • Cereal

  • Kids' Snacks

  • Large Disposable Gloves

If you are able to contribute, please drop off FOOD items in the entrance vestibule by the Faith Formation entrance and prayer garden where the old circle used to be. You can now drop off food in the atrium when you arrive for daily or weekend Masses.

Our Annual School Supply Collection is back! (Updated 7/28)


Last year with your help 300 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to children in Mechanicville and the surrounding school districts. Once again we will be collecting supplies for the 2020-2021 school year during the month of August to assist children with the necessary tools for success. In order to ensure that we can deliver everything in time, the deadline for donations is Tuesday, August 25.


Supplies Needed:

  • Plastic Pocket Folders

  • Book Bags

  • 1"-2" & 3” Binders

  • 1,3 & 5-Subject Notebooks

  • Fiskar’s scissors

  • Pencils

  • Pencil Sharpeners & Cases

  • Washable Markers

  • Crayons

  • Composition Books

  • Pens (blue, red or black)

  • Erasers

  • Colored pencil

 If you have any questions call Mary Ann Sekellick in the parish office at 518-371-7372 x224. Donations can be left in the faith formation vestibule at any time. They can also be dropped in the atrium as you arrive for daily or weekend Masses.
