Second Grade Faith Formation Program

Welcome to the 2007-2008 Second Grade Faith Formation Program. This is a Sacramental year for the students and we will do everything to make sure that they are prepared and have a wonderful, enriching experience throughout.  You will be receiving letters that will keep you updated and informed of important dates and events related to the second grade program.  Please continue to check this website for updates. Program Overview

In this Sacramental year, the students will be preparing for both First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  In addition, they will learn about the Church and being a member of the Church Family by participating in the mass and learning prayers.  They will celebrate the major events in the Church calendar such as Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.  They will also cover other topics including the Sacraments, the Ten Commandments and the Bible.  The children will participate in projects both creative and service. They will also participate in several celebrations arranged just for them in this Sacramental year.  There will be a Family Retreat focusing on Eucharist which is held at St. Edwards in April.  They will receive a mass book for them to keep and bring to Church.  We are emphasizing family and your child together with your family becoming part of our Catholic Community through Eucharist.   We want everyone to participate and feel part of our Christian Family.  So come along with your child as we take a Faith Journey to Eucharist.
