First Grade Faith Formation Program

Welcome to the 2007-2008 First Grade Faith Formation Program. 

You will be receiving letters that will keep you updated and informed of important dates and events related to the first grade program.

Program Overview

During this year your child will be learning about God our Father, Jesus his son and the Holy Spirit.  The children will learn about how God loves them and the many beautiful things God does to show His love for all of us, especially by sending us Jesus to love and follow.  We will cover areas including the Holy Family, Saints, Church Feasts and Seasons, Prayer and the Bible.  The children will be given a journal so they can note their experiences through words and pictures.  We will host a Faith Sharing Celebration at the end of the year where the children can share their journals with their families.  The children will participate in projects both creative and service.  We hope that you will share in your child’s Faith journey as they learn that they are members of a larger Church Family.

****PLEASE NOTE****

If your child was not baptized at St. Edwards you will need to provide a copy of their
Baptismal Certificate to the Faith Formation Office as soon as possible.
